What is the difference between the AS568A, AS568B, AS568C, AS568D, AS568E, and AS568F designation for o-rings?

SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) published the original document that established these o-ring sizes. The 'AS' in AS568 stands for Aerospace Standard. These o-ring sizes are standard across the o-ring industry and in most military applications. AS568 is generally regarded as the U.S. size standard, and there is no difference among the designations AS568A, AS568B, AS568C, AS568D, AS568E, and AS568F.

What are Apple Rubber's minimum order requirements?

For anything we have in stock, the minimum is $100 per line item. If we have to manufacture the part, there is a $1,000 per item minimum.

Can I come look at your facilities?

Yes, please call us to set up an appointment to visit or audit us. While you are here, we will be happy to show you our production facility and our Quality Control department.

What is the Shelf Life for O-rings and rubber products?

Apple Rubber advises following SAE AS5316 as the standard practice. Numerous studies have shown that O-rings from WWII, still packaged, remain usable today. The following statement is provided for reference: Apple Rubber Shelf Life and Storage Condition.

Is there an SDS for O-rings or rubber goods?

Products supplied by Apple Rubber are classified as “Articles”. According to OSHA Standard 29 CRF 1910.1200, SDSs are not required because, under normal conditions, harmful chemicals would not be released and pose a health risk to employees. Are Prop 65 chemicals found in rubber?

Apple Rubber aims to prevent intentional additions of Prop 65 chemicals in our rubber formulations. Due to the extensive list, we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination or chemical impurities. Therefore, we declare that most products may contain Prop 65 chemicals.
