We’ve been a little quiet around here lately, but we have a good excuse – we’ve been busy updating our Seal Design Guide!
The new addition to the Seal Design Guide includes Inspection Specifications – a list of specifications vs. maximum allowable dimensions for various defects. These are great reference tools when setting up part specifications.
Some of these specifications include:
• Foreign Material/Inclusions, contamination in the material or indentation left by removal
• Off-Register misalignment and Mismatch of cross sections
• Backrind, or tearing at the mold parting line
• Non-Fill/Mold Deposit
